Sirat e Mustaqeem in Quran

* According to Ibn-e-Abi-Hatim & Ibn-e-Jareer, Sirat e Mustaqeem is the book of Allah i.e. Qurโ€™an.

* According to Muhammadย  (Sal allah ho alaihi wasallim), Sirat-e-Mustaqeem means Islam.
Hazrat Ibn-e-Abbas (r.a.), Ibn-e-Masood (r.a.) & many Sahabas also believed the same.

* Muhammad (Sal allah ho alaihi wasallim) said, โ€œAllah cited an example that on the either sides of Sirat e Mustaqeem, there are walls.
There are many opened doors & curtains, hanging on these doors.
A reciter is standing on Sirat-e-Mustaqeem who says, โ€˜O mankind! Walk on this Sirat-e-Mustaqeem. Do not see the others ways.
When a traveler passing by, tries to open any of the doors, the reciter says, Beware! Do not open these doors, or you will go out of Sirat-e-Mustaqeemโ€™.โ€

Thus, Sirat e Mustaqeem is Islam,
Walls are the bounds of Allah,
The opened doors are the forbidden or Haram things.
The reciter is the Qurโ€™an.(MASNAD AHMED)

Q. If Believer is already on the apt way i.e. Sirat e Mustaqeem, than what is the need of Salah or prayers for him?

A. Prayers, Salah are important for a Believer or Momin also so that he may remain steady on Sirat e Mustaqeem & do not deviate from it. Thus a man is always a needy of Allah. We are beggars of Allah. No matter how famous we become in the court of Allah, we were slaves, we are slaves & will always remain slaves of Allah.

Any mistake, on my part, if found, may please be forgiven.

JAZAAK ALLAH!
