Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic ‘Health and Hygiene’.
Health and hygiene are two terms that go hand in hand.
According to Google, the term ‘health’ is defined to be “the state of being free from illness or injury.”
‘Hygiene’ is defined as “conditions or practices conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness.”
Thus, as can be gleaned from the definitions, these terms are interconnected. Hygiene, in fact, acts as an agent for maintaining good health.
In this sense, there are three major types of hygiene to be maintained to remain healthy. First comes personal hygiene. Here, we have to keep our bodies completely clean to prevent diseases.
Secondly, we have environmental hygiene, which is crucial to keep our surroundings clean to prevent the breeding of diseases that could spread.
The last hygiene is food hygiene, which is crucial in not accidentally ingesting germs and causing diseases internally.
Be hygienic, be healthy.
