A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of personal hygiene.
Before looking at personal hygiene, allow me to explain what the word hygiene means. Google, in fact, defines the term to be “conditions or practices conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness.”
Simply put, hygiene or being hygienic means, as Wikipedia aptly puts it, “a series of practices performed to preserve health.”
In this regard, there are several different types of hygiene. Personal hygiene is one of the most important here.
Personal hygiene, as the name suggests, involves taking care of the cleanliness of the body. There are, in fact, 7 different types of personal hygiene which are: Toilet hygiene, Shower hygiene, Nail hygiene, Teeth or Dental hygiene, Sickness hygiene, and Hand hygiene.
In order to maintain the overall health and well-being of the body, all of these ought to be religiously followed.
