A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of perseverance.
Google defines the term ‘perseverance’ to be “persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.”
Simply put, perseverance is the continuous, tenacious effort one puts in over and beyond regular hard work to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, opposition, or any other hurdle come what may.
Perseverance is an excellent quality each and every one of us must strive to attain. It is only a perseverant person after all who can aspire to attain the most success in life.
All of us here must be familiar with the famous quote by Charles Spurgeon, “By perseverance, the snail reached the ark.” Indeed, perseverance is the way to doggedly or stubbornly go after what we most desire.
I’d like to conclude with another quote by Walter Eliot, “Perseverance is not
a long race; it is many short races one after the other.”
