Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic ‘food’.
Food, simply put, encompasses any and every substance that, when consumed, sustains the body. Food could come from plants, trees, animals, and even fungi.
Aside from these categories, food can further be classified into various other groups. Broadly, food is divided into vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Vegetarian food relies on plant-based foods such as fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses, and dairy products. Non-vegetarian food consists of a diet purely based on the meat of various animals. These are divided into red meat (beef, goat, lamb), poultry (chicken, turkey), pork (pig’s meat), and seafood (fish, crab, lobster).
Eggs are a tricky subject as debates revolve around whether or not it is non-vegetarian.
With these raw ingredients, various cuisines have been developed across the world, each unique to their culture. The ten most popular countries whose cuisine is widely appreciated are the United States, Mexico, Thailand, Greece, India, Japan, Spain, and France.
