I hope you and your loved ones are in good health. How is your work life going? I hope you are enjoying your new job. Have you heard about the Amma Vodi Scheme launched by the Andhra Pradesh government in 2020? I need to review all government schemes and programmes in order to prepare for a competitive exam. I thus came to know about this scheme. This is a welfare scheme that benefits students whose families fall below the poverty line. This scheme is the first of its kind in India. In this scheme, an amount of Rs 15000 will be credited to the bank accounts of mothers of school-going children in either government or private schools in Andhra Pradesh. If the child does not have a mother, the amount will be credited to the bank account of the guardian. This is an effective programme that promotes primary education. We should always encourage and appreciate programmes that provide education for all. After all, education is the foundation of any development.
