Subject – Application for the request of leave for my fathers barsi
Sir,
With all due respect and honour, I would like to request a leave of three days i.e. the 6th, 7th and the 8th of May 2022 for my father’s barsi. Barsi is an important ceremony after the death of a loved one after a year for a Hindu or a Sikh. My father passed away on the 7th of May 2022 last year due to an illness that he suffered for a very long time. I would like to travel back to my hometown to attend this ceremony which will be held on the 7th of May 2022. It takes me a day to reach my home town therefore, I will have to book my train tickets. This ceremony is extremely important for my family. I would love to be there for my family emotionally at times like this. I will be back by the 9th of May 2022 to resume my work. I will put forth as much effort as I have lost during my leave and make up for the lost time. I have requested Sir Manoj to take care of the necessary work during my absence.
I, therefore, kindly request you to grant me my leave for which I shall remain forever grateful.
