Subject: Application to electricity department for excess billing
Good evening sir,
For the past ten years, I, Ajay Rag, have lived in MG Road. My customer ID is XXX. The electricity bill for this June has arrived. It is unexpected to receive a bill for Rs. 10,000. My bill fluctuates between Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 every month. This month’s bill for June is ten times what I typically pay for electricity.
The reading on the power metre is ten times higher than it should be, which is not conceivable, I discovered when I checked it. I believe the electric metre is broken.
Please update my actual electricity bill because, as you may have guessed, the excess amount was caused by a faulty metre.
I’m hoping you’ll take my request for a resolution of the excessive electricity bill seriously.
