Dear Sitara,
I hope you and your family are in good health and are happy. How is life in the United States treating you? Do you miss being in India? I would like to know the date of Independence Day in the US. I read in the newspaper about Ghana’s celebration of its Independence Day. Ghana gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1957. Every year on March 6th, they celebrate their Independence Day.
Everybody hoists the country’s national flag in their homes, places of work, and also in schools. There will be parades and carnivals. This day is also known as the National Day of Ghana. The day is a public holiday, and if it falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be a holiday as well. The day is celebrated by people not just living in Ghana but by all Ghanaians all over the world. The Independence Day celebration is the same everywhere.
