A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of ‘Tourism’.
Google defines the term ‘tourism’ to be “the commercial organization and operation of holidays and visits to places of interest.”
Simply put, tourism involves travel which could either be for business or pleasure, often the latter. Thousands of tourists throng various tourist hotspots across the globe at all times of the year!
Tourists undertake tourism for several reasons, even when taking it “just for pleasure”! Broadly speaking, tourism can be categorized into 4 different types. Namely, they are Sustainable tourism (environmentally friendly), Food tourism (culinary tourism undertaken for the sole purpose of trying out different types of food), Experiential tourism (immersion travel undertaken to gain new experiences across the world), and Wellness tourism (health conscious).
Perhaps a few of the most popular tourist spots include the Eiffel Tower, Paris, The Colleseum, Rome, the Statue of Liberty, New York City, and so on!
