Subject: Letter complaining about no street light in my area
Sir/Madam,
Through an article in your newspaper, I would like to shed some light and bring attention towards the issue of no street lights in my area.
Lightning is important for every locality. Especially late at night, I feel like lightning gives a sense of security to the people living in the locality. Not all of the people have the opportunity to return to their home in the early hours of the night, so street lights become very important in that case.
In our area, there is a lack of streetlight to the point that there is no light that is functioning. Due to this, there have been more and more cases of casual thievery in our area. Thieves are becoming so bold that they have started to steal precious items like bikes and cars as well. I request the concerned authorities to look into the matter.
I hope that the prestigious columns of your newspaper will help bring this issue to light and that the concerned authorities will help provide respite to the common people.
