Subject: Leave application due to the death of grandmother
Sir/Mam,
With deep grief and sorrow I want to state that my grandmother expired tonight. She was suffering from blood cancer since many years. The whole family has gathered at our home. Necessary rites and rituals will be organised tomorrow for her eternal peace.
Hence, I request you to grant me 3 days leave so that I may be able to attend the last rituals of my grandmother.
