Subject: Leave application for attending the funeral ceremony of grandfather
Sir/Mam,
With due respect, I would like to state that my grandfather died of a prolonged illness. As per our tradition, the funeral ceremony will take place in my native village. Hence I request you to grant me three-day leave from school so that I may be able to attend the rituals and pray for my grandfather’s peace in the afterlife.
I hope that I will be granted three days’ leave. I have taken permission from my concerned teachers as well.
