Leave Application for Death Rituals in School

Subject: Leave application for attending death rituals of grandfather

Sir/Mam,

With due respect, I would like to state that my grandfather died of prolong illness. Since then, death rituals are organised in our home town. Hence I request you to grant me two-day leave from the school so that I may be able to attend the rituals and pray for my grandfather’s peace in the afterlife.

I hope that I will be granted two days leave. I have taken permission from my concerned teachers as well.
