Media is a communication channel. There are many types of media. Some of the few media are social media, mass media, digital media, etc. Examples are newspapers, magazines, television, radio, billboards, telephone, the Internet, etc. Media can be traced back to the nineteenth century. Media has changed the world completely. It was such a table-turner for the entire universe. Media helped in educating people all over the world, it made people communicate with each other despite living far away from each other, and it also aided in keeping people updated with the current happenings of the world. Media has also greatly boosted advertising products and services which has directly and indirectly helped the economy of society a great deal. With a lot of great things that came along with the coming of media into the world, grew negative impacts as well. Media also brought rise to various misinformation, cyber bullying, scams, addiction, and many others.
We should use media very wisely and practically. We should also try and teach people to make them use media wisely. A person’s life can be destroyed or it can be built by the media.
