Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on environmental pollution. When external elements known as pollutants contaminate the environment, it is referred to as environmental pollution. These pollutants, which are produced as a result of human activity, might exist in a gaseous, solid, or liquid condition depending on how they were created.
Gases produced as a result of the combustion of fossil fuels include Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and Sulfur Dioxide (SO2). When present in significant concentrations in the atmosphere, these gases are poisonous by nature and dangerous to breathe.
Industrial trash and waste from human habitation are examples of solid pollutants. They are made up of all different kinds of solid substances, including plastic, metal, wood, and leaves. In addition to polluting our land and soil, solid pollutants also contaminate our water bodies.
On the other hand, liquid pollutants include oil and other petroleum products, chemicals, acids, etc. The industries that produce fuel and petroleum are the principal sources of liquid pollution.
Air, water, and plant life are essential resources that are negatively impacted by environmental pollution, as are human health and life. While water body contamination results in waterborne diseases, air pollution causes respiratory conditions. The crop production in a particular area is impacted by soil contamination as well.
The production of pollutants must be effectively controlled in order to reduce environmental pollution, which requires the adoption of more environmentally friendly policies. Some strategies that could be used to reduce environmental pollution include the use of more environmentally friendly fuel sources and proper waste collection and disposal. Thank you.
