2 Minute Speech On The English Language In English

Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech on the English language. Initially, England’s official language was the English language. Later, the language was spread to numerous countries as a result of British imperialism and colonization. In time, it spread to their colonies, including those in India, Australia, Sri Lanka, Canada, and other countries. The British no longer control more than half of the world, but their language still controls practically all of it.

At the moment, twenty-seven nations consider English to be a secondary language, and approximately sixty-seven nations have made it their official language. We can categorically state that one of the most prevalent languages in the world is English.

The key to unlocking the door to the entire world is the English language. English is one of the most widely spoken languages in the entire world. To help pupils acquire English at an early age, many countries have added English as a second language to their school curricula. The decision to use English as the primary language of instruction in schools and colleges unifies the organization of education and benefits students in a variety of ways.

Good communication skills in English are considered one of the most important soft skills required for an employee. A useful English skill helps us navigate any foreign country. An insight into the English language increases the chance of setting up a good career. Let’s realize the true potential of language and remember the words of Roger Bacon – “Knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom”. Thank you.
