Wikipedia defines the term ‘teacher’ as follows: “A teacher, also called a schoolteacher or formally an educator, is a person who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue, via the practice of teaching. Informally the role of teacher may be taken on by anyone.”
Teachers, in real life, are so much more than that. They are an integral part of each and every one’s life. Ideal teachers play a crucial role in shaping who we are. More than teaching what is prescribed in the syllabus, good teachers go above and beyond, teaching us about life values, what is right and what is wrong, effectively serving as our faithful guides and companions.
