A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of ‘Teachers’.
Wikipedia defines the term ‘teacher’ as follows: “A teacher, also called a schoolteacher or formally an educator, is a person who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue, via the practice of teaching. Informally the role of teacher may be taken on by anyone.”
Teachers, in real life, are so much more than that. They are an integral part of each and everyone’s life and a good teacher would help shape one’s life as well! A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has in fact said, “Teachers are the backbone of any country, the pillar upon which all aspirations are converted into realities.”
Kalam has also said Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, caliber, and future of an individual. If the people remember me as a good teacher, that will be the biggest honour for me.” Hail teachers!
