Eid ul-fitr is a holiday that is celebrated by the Muslims. Some view this day as sacred while some don’t. According to the law for this very day, it is said that it is forbidden to fast on the Day of Eid, and a specific prayer is nominated for this day. On this day, people visit friends and families, exchange presents, enjoy feast together, wear new clothes and visit the family members of those who have passed away. This festival is also called as Festival of Breaking the Fast, Lesser Eid, Sweet Eid, or Sugar Feast. Based on research scholars and their studies, it has been found that this holiday was established by Islamic Prophet Muhammad. It is celebrated on the first day of the 10th month in the Islamic calendar.
