Electric vehicles in short are known as EV. It’s a type of a uniquely structured engine type of vehicle that can be powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery and is capable of being charged from an external source. EVs came to India by the year 1996. With the coming of this, it launched a series of electric scooters/bikes between 2000 and 2007. A very important fact to be known about electric car in India is that, the first electric vehicle was a three-wheeler, invented by Scooter’s India Pvt Ltd, and it was named VIKRAM SAFA. Approximately 400 vehicles were made and sold.
