Dengue fever is also called breakbone fever. It is a mosquito-borne viral disease occurring in tropical and subtropical areas. It is spread by animals or insects. The symptoms for this fever are high fever, headache, rash and muscle and joint pain. In severe cases there is serious bleeding and shock. One must take no risk and visit the hospital as soon as possible once one starts suspecting of this fever as it can get life threatening. One must remain very hygienic. One must avoid caffeinated drinks and spice when one has this fever, it is also said that one must eat very healthy, nutrient rich meals and fruits and keep oneself hydrated as it boosts the immune system. One interesting fact is that a person can become infected with dengue up to 4 times in their lifetime.
