A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short speech on the topic of ‘Role Model’.
According to psychology, the term ‘role model’ is defined as follows: “a person or group serving as an exemplar for the goals, attitudes, or behaviour of an individual, who identifies with and seeks to imitate the role model.”
Generally, role models of people tend to be famous personages such as celebrities, sports persons, authors, poets, and so on. In a nutshell, they often tend to be successful, accomplished individuals.
Broadly, role models are seen to possess 5 admirable qualities. They are Passion and the Ability to Inspire, a Clear Set of Values, Commitment to Community, Selflessness and Acceptance of Others, and the Ability to Overcome Obstacles.
Because one looks up to their role model and even goes as far as to mimic them, role models are observed to have a huge influence on their life. Who is your role model?
