A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a short speech on the topic ‘Current Education System in India’.
The current education system in India is not one that is healthy or good. Education has been turned into a mindless rat race.
The purpose of education is no longer to gain knowledge but to ‘score good grades’ in order to ‘get good careers’. Learning, as a whole, is lost in the pursuit of memorizing the correct answers and remembering ‘key terms’ and ‘important questions’. In this way, no learning is happening!
We need to revert back to the Gurukula system. With its hands-on approach, students would be able to actually learn in a practical way.
Let us all unite and do away with this mindless process of learning and the bloodthirsty battle for marks!
