Subject:- Leave application for one day leave due to death
Respected Sir,
I am Raghav, a student of your school, studying in class 10th. I am writing this letter to request for one day leave due to a death in my family. My grandmother passed away yesterday and I need to attend her funeral. I have been her sole caretaker for the last three years and I am really saddened by her death.
I understand that it is not usual to ask for a leave on such short notice. However, I am in a situation where I have no other option. I am very respectful of the school rules and this is the only time I am asking for an exception. I will be grateful if you could grant me one day leave. I assure you that I will make up for the lost classes by completing the coursework before the next class. Thank you for your understanding.
