Subject: Leave Application for Close Relative’s Death
Respected Madam,
With deep regret and remorse, this is to bring to your kind attention that unfortunately, my cousin brother passed away on 8th December,2022 due to excessive exertion. He was very close to me and was like a real younger brother to me. I used to share everything with him and now, I am all alone. Moving on in life without him would be difficult. His funeral is on 9th December, 2022.
The entire family has decided to organize a prayer service in his memory and remember him with cherished memories, followed by lunch. I want to be with my family on this day to give them strength and to tribute a day in my brother’s memory and spend it the way he would have wanted it to. Thus I hereby request you to grant me a leave on 9th December, 2022. I will complete my targets once I come back to the office. Moreover, I assure you that I shall be present on 10th December, 2022.
