Dear Fahad,

How are you? We are doing well here. I got my midterm exam’s answer sheets at school after valuation. I got very low marks for physics. For other papers, I have average-good marks. For Physics, I received only 12 points out of 30. I was concerned about how my parents would react to my low marks.

I told my parents that I got 20 marks, but my physics teacher called my father and told him my actual marks and asked them to keep an eye on my studies. Thus, my lie fell apart. My parents scolded me, not for scoring poorly but because I lied to them. They were very upset with me.

I told them that I lied because I was concerned about how they would react. My father told me that no matter what, I should never lie and always tell the truth. My mom said that being truthful helps us learn from our mistakes and makes us mature. We don’t have to build our lives on lies.

Bye and take care

Your friend
