Dear friend,
Hey! How are you? I want to thank you for all the prayers of well-being that you sent in your last letter. I received the letter only yesterday. I am going to tell you about the damage caused by the Amphan cyclone in our locality. As you already know, West Bengal has been severely hit by the Amphala cyclone a few days before. There was a warning already issued by the authorities. I was scared the entire time because I am staying alone at home as my parents are out of town. Thankfully, my food was stocked in advance. My parents called me and told me not to worry. The effects in my locality are not that bad. Electricity has been down for a few days, but it doesn’t bother me. The village of Bakkhali was severely impacted by the cyclone. Some of our distant relatives live there, and we are still waiting for news from their side. Overall, things are settling down in my area.
