Dear friend,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of health. I am going to write to you about the ban on plastic bags in this letter. Last week, we were asked to bring spare plastic bags from our house. Naturally, a large number of them got collected. We were then told about the harmful effects that this plastic waste has on the environment. I knew about the topic a little bit but I was shocked when I found out how long a plastic bag can take to decompose. It is when I searched on the internet that I read that plastic bags have been banned in India since July 2022. But people still continue to use them. I have made a plan to educate people on this topic. I will start with people of my age as they are more willing to listen to my suggestions.
