Dear Rani,
How are you? We are doing well here. I received your letter last week. In the letter, you asked me about Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr is a festival celebrated by all Muslim communities around the world. This festival will fall in the months of April or May. This is a festival celebrated to mark the end of Ramadan, or the Muslim holy month of fasting. The believers observe fasting for thirty days from morning to evening, and the next day is Eid, to celebrate the end of the fast. People buy new clothes for themselves and also buy gifts for friends and family. This is a happy time for Muslims all over the world, as it is the time for family get-togethers where they will have a happy and fun time. Every year, my neighbour invites us to their home to participate in the feast they organise on account of Eid. They always make sure to give the best food to their guests. This is also the time we strengthen our communal harmony.
