Dear Yami,
I hope you and your family are happy and in good health. How did you celebrate this year’s Eid ul-Dha? I had a happy time with my loved ones. Eid al-Adha is known as the “feast of the sacrifice,” also known as the “greater eid.” We begin the day early in the morning by offering prayers. Men in the house go to the mosque to offer their prayers, while women perform them at home. Cooking the meat and serving it are the important parts of this celebration. Part of the cooked meat is for the family, and the other part will be served to friends, relatives, and also to the poor and needy. This Eid, we donated a portion of our meal to an elderly home near our house. Women and girls apply traditional mehendi leaf paste on their palms. We also buy new clothes for our family and friends.
