Dear Jeena,
How are you? I am fine. How are your studies going, and what else is happening at your school? Last week was World Earth Day, and we had a celebration at our school. Earth Day is the day to raise awareness about protecting the earth and securing it for future generations. The world Earth Day celebration at our school was inaugurated by the environment activist Ms. Malini Shekar. In her address to us, she talked about the ways in which we are harming our earth unknowingly. That’s when I realised how badly we’re treating our planet. She discussed simple ways we can protect our planet and avoid harming it. We all took a pledge where we said that we would try to avoid doing things that threaten our planet. The principal asked us to observe Earth Day by switching off all the lights and the fan for 30 minutes at night. I have to follow the pledge I took.
