Dear Erin,
I hope you and your loved ones are fine and happy. While riding the bus, I noticed you and your brother in the city park. I read an essay about the earthquake that happened in Nepal in 2015. It caused much destruction and loss of life. India was also hit by some of the deadliest earthquakes. Earthquakes happen due to a sudden break in the underground rock. This sudden break caused shaking. The intensity of the earthquake is measured on the Richter scale. A very strong earthquake has a Richter scale reading of 7. When an earthquake happens, the immediate thing we have to do is get under any table or bed. Don’t stand near heavy objects as they may fall on us. We shouldn’t step outside our house. Earthquakes affect many lives. Many lose their shelter. There must be helping hands that benefit the victims of the earthquake.
