I hope you and your family are happy and doing well. My uncle and his family came to visit us last week. I get to know about the Dashain festival from them. Dashain is the Nepali version of Dasara. It is the most auspicious festival celebrated by Hindus in Nepal. Dashain is celebrated between the months of September and October. This festival is also a celebration of good over evil, like Dasara. Dashain is a 15-day festival where each day has its own significance. Among these 15 days, the most important are the first, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and fifteenth. The festival begins on the first day with people sowing the yellow grass, and celebrations reach their peak on the ninth day, when the goddesses Kali and Durga are worshipped. On the last day, people try to stay awake the whole night, as there is a myth that if you stay awake, the goddess of wealth will bless you. I wish to be part of this festival
