Hope you and your loved ones are in good health. In my last letter, I have mentioned about visiting Sri Chitra Art Museum in Thiruvananthapuram. I visited the museum and it was very interesting. This museum was started in 1935, inaugurated by the then Travancore king. It is located nearly 3kms from Thiruvananthapuram city. The museum features many traditional and modern paintings of the great artists including Sri Ravi Varma. The museum has 43 original works of Ravi Varma. It is said that there is a total of 1100 paintings in the museum. The museum also has unique mural paintings from the pre-historic times. Other than paintings, we can also see miniatures from different parts of the world and manuscripts of historical importance. This museum is a must visit for all the art enthusiasts.
