Respected Sir,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. Most humbly and respectfully I am writing this leave letter to bring to your kind attention the fact that my grandfather has left for his heavenly abode. He was such a gentle soul that his departure form this temporary world has left a indelible mark on me and my family. All of us are in a state of shock and utter disbelief. He always encouraged me to work hard and help the needy. Now that he is not with me, I feel shattered inside. Please take notice of my absence from work for one week to cope up with this loss and perform his last rites and attend his funeral. He was 97 and had a huge reputation. Many of his friends would also be visiting us. I would be highly obliged if you allow me to stay home for one week.
