Subject: Letter on the issue of increasing street crimes
Sir/Madam,
Through an article in your newspaper, I would like to draw attention towards the issue of increasing street crimes.
I have lived in my locality for a long time, it is coming close to around three decades of me living in this locality. All of these years have been full of peace in our area. But recently, I am noticing a lot of crimes being reported near here. Almost all of my neighbors have reported some crime or other that has happened in their house.
Petty thefts have been increasing at an alarming rate. In addition to this, a lot of bold thieves have also started to snatch jewelry and bags in broad daylight. Harassment and catcalling of young girls is also starting to become common. This is all very alarming and disturbing and the concerned authorities should do something in order to restore peace in our area.
I hope that the prestigious columns of your newspaper will help this issue reach the concerned authorities.
