Respected Sir,
This is in reference to yesterday’s bank statement that you received. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the assertion is incorrect.
According to the statement, my account has been debited by Rs 250 for the purpose of paying check number XXXX. I want to draw your attention to the fact that there isn’t a leaf with this check number in the cheque book the bank gave me. Furthermore, I haven’t actually issued a check like that. Since it appears that a mistaken entry was made from your end, I respectfully ask that you examine the statement and reverse the entry.
For your reference, I’ve included my bank account information with this letter. Please have a look into this.
