I’m writing to let you know that the XXX Fixed Deposit receipt I referenced above is missing. I’ve done my best to find it, but I’ve been unsuccessful. It appears that the same has been taken or lost irretrievably somewhere.
Therefore, I kindly ask that you issue me a duplicate receipt in place of the missing one. I hereby undertake to hold your bank harmless from any actions, liabilities, claims, or expenses that may be brought against you or incurred by you as a result of the duplicate receipt being used in place of the lost one or as a result of a payment made against the original receipt. I hope you will consider my request.
