Subject: Requesting for one day leave in school

Sir,

I, Shikha Jha, am a student of class 8th A in your school. I will be unable to attend school on October 20th. I am supposed to go to Gurgaon with my father for passport verification. As this work cannot be postponed to week-end days due to an official holiday, I will have to follow the given date.

Therefore, kindly consider my request. My father has already taken a leave from his office and so my absence cannot be afforded. I shall be immensely obliged to you.
