Children’s Day is celebrated on 14 November every year. It celebrates all children. This is a day celebrated in places like orphanages and schools. All institutions with children celebrate this day differently. In some schools, children are given lunch. While some sweets are distributed. The majority of the schools hold programs where many performances are displayed by the children and some even the teachers. On this day, the children are also being educated through speeches on why this day was celebrated. In India, the celebration of this day began in 1947 all concerning the love that Jawaharlal Nehru had for children. November 14 is Nehru’s birthday and he made it his call to the people to celebrate his birthday as Children’s Day. This is a very important day for the Indians to honour and remember Jawaharlal Nehru.  Every country celebrates this day in their way of celebration. It is important to celebrate children and their innocence. On this day, children are honoured. It is a reminder for everyone to l ok be, honour and respect all children despite their background. It is a day, that is looked forward for many children. It excites the children for the treats and fun programs and activities held in their school by the teachers. It is also a day where both students and teachers have fun and bond well.
