2 Minute Speech On Procrastination In English

Good morning to everyone in this room. I would like to thank the principal, the teachers, and my dear friends for allowing me to speak to you today about procrastination. The habit of putting off a task or activity until later is known as procrastination. One of a person’s worst habits is the tendency to push off doing tasks.

People frequently put off finishing a task or carrying out a plan until later because of laziness. Life is unpredictable, thus it’s likely that things may change and one won’t be able to complete the task at all. It is wise to put off doing bad things, yet we are right and we must complete the task at hand on schedule.

The tendency to put off a task is one of the main causes of procrastination. A person’s edge of need for action will be lost if they indulge in luxury and idleness. When someone begins to worry about how the work will turn out, they often put it off till later. Low self-esteem, weak resolve, lack of attention, distraction, and excessive impulsivity are other reasons why people put off doing their tasks till later.

In addition to raising stress levels and denying oneself opportunities, procrastination has several negative effects. Individuals, groups, communities, and countries can all suffer as a result. We must examine our behavior to see if we truly understand the risks of procrastination and avoid it. The most critical information is that procrastination is a negative habit and that excessive hurrying or haste is also bad behavior. Thank you.
