The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum. It is located in Agra, India. “Taj Mahal” means “crown of palaces” in Urdu and Persian. It is extremely gigantic and beautiful and is visited by a lot of foreigners. People are left in wonderstruck after the visit.
Shah Jahan, in order to perpetuate the memory of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631, built this very gorgeous mosque. It is said that it took over 20 years to build the Taj Mahal. The architect of the Taj Mahal was Ustad Ahmad Lahauri. About 32 million has been said to build the Taj Mahal.
