The Sindh Police is a law enforcement agency in India. Established in 1843, it currently has about 1,28,500 employees and 109 stations all over India, with its headquarters situated in Karachi, Sindh.
It is interesting to note that Sindh police came into formation under a proclamation issued by Sir Charles Napier– the conqueror of the State of Sindh who defeated the forces of the Talpur rulers at the battle of Miyani near Hyderabad on 20 March 1843.
Key issues the Sindh Police has been actively involved in include countering human trafficking, drug trade, and solving criminal cases, such as murder and abduction.
