Republic Day is celebrated on the 26th of January every year. It started in 1950. On this very day all institutions and offices are declared as a holiday in India. This is a very important event for the Indians for it gives the people of India a time of reflection to the country’s fighters who sacrificed their lives for this very event.
A massive parade is held every year in the capital of New Delhi. There is flag hosting programs and small celebrations to honour this very day is held in and around the country.
