United Nations defines human rights to be rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights, simply put, are basic rights that are given to everyone without any sort of discrimination whatsoever.
In India, under Section 2 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993, human rights refers to rights relating to life, liberty, equality, and dignity of an individual guaranteed under the Constitution or embodied in the International Covenants and enforceable by courts in India.
Human Rights Day is universally observed every year on the 10th of December.
