Criminology is a word first coined by Professor Raffaele Garofalo in the year 1885. It is the study of crime and the behaviors of the criminals. As criminology made its way into the world; the society, it led to a great deal of improvement in the criminal justice system and how people responded to crimes.
It also paved a huge way for the treatment of both the victim and criminals. The coming to study criminology has, without a doubt, increased the cost of living in society and has most importantly reduced crimes, and has saved a lot of lives.
