Cheetah is one of the largest sized cats in Africa and Southwest Asia. It is known as the fastest land animal. They’re capable of reaching speeds of up to 70 mph. They have about 2000 spots and they use these spots to disguise themselves by camouflaging themselves to stalk prey and protect themselves from predators.
The word ‘cheetah’ comes from Hindi. The word “Chita” means “spotted ones.” They can also give birth to about 2-8 cubs at a time. They also don’t have the ability to roar like lions or tigers. There are 5 types of cheetahs. They are Asiatic cheetah, Northwest African cheetah, South African cheetah, Sudan cheetah and the Tanzanian cheetah.
