Badminton is a racquet sport played by using racquets. It is usually played by 2 or 4 players. It has been recorded that badminton was originally played by the ancient civilisations of Europe and Asia. The beginning of badminton can be traced back to the 1800s. Badminton has changed over the past generation.
With technological progressions, rackets are lighter, badminton shoes are better and the quality of shuttlecocks have improved. China has won the BWF World Championships the most number of times. It is now an international sport as well as a sport played in majority of the institutions all over the world.
