Abu’l-Fath Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar popularly known as Akbar the Great. He was born in the year 1542 and died in the year of 1605. He lived for 63 years. He is being regarded as ‘The Great’ because of his many accomplishments, including his record of unbeaten military campaigns that consolidated Mughal rule in the Indian subcontinent.

He inspired and influenced many. He is also regarded as the most powerful Mughal ruler. Only at the age of 13, he sat on the throne of the Mughal empire. Another amazing fact of Akbar is that his real name was Jalaluddin Muhammad, later his people were happy with him and called him Akbar and then Jalal’s name became Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar.
